We installed FLOCK in in Seyðisfjörður, Iceland at the community center gallery on August 5, 2022. It will be on display until August 18th, with an artist’s talk on Sunday, August 7th from 4-5 pm.
Skaftfell visiting artist Rachel Simmons invites the community to participate in a morning birdwatching walk along the fjord followed by a collaborative printmaking workshop at Seyðisfjörður Print Workshop. Bring binoculars if you have them! In the afternoon, participants will create uniquely patterned bird prints that will be added to Flock, and engage in discussion about which local birds are their favorites.
This is a family-friendly event, but children must be accompanied and assisted by an adult. Reach out to Julia at Skaftfell with any questions!
