FLOCK will expand during a two-day workshop at the University of Tampa from October 16th through the 17th. Printmaking professor Ry McCullough and his students will be participating in FLOCK, a socially engaged art project which encourages participants to think about their relationship with birds & nature. We will spend time talking about birds & field guides, birdwatching and creating new bird prints to add to FLOCK. When I return home, I'll add these new prints to the existing ones to create an expanded FLOCK at the Orlando Science Center's current CFAM exhibition "Steady Observation." This piece will be on view at OSC until January 7, 2017. The UT students will be the third group to participate in FLOCK after the original print action at Constellation Studios in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2015 and the second interaction with students at Rollins College.
In conjunction with the workshop, I will be giving a talk at the University of Tampa on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 3 pm. This talk is open to the public. For more information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
